2 Chronicles 12: How to Be Delivered from Your Problems

^” When the Lord saw that they humbled themselves, this word of the Lord came to Shemaiah: “Since they have humbled themselves, I will not destroy them but will soon give them deliverance. My wrath will not be poured out on Jerusalem through Shishak.” -2 Chronicles 12:7

We all talk about the importance of humility, yet find the actual application of it allusive. We often humble ourselves before the Lord with kicking and screaming.

When Israel had lived in sin for some time, God planned to turn them over to one of their enemies. On the brink of disaster, the people of God humbled themselves. The result? God delivered them.

There were still consequences, yet they continued to live and eventually rebound from near disaster.

My question to you: Why wait for disaster? Humble yourself today. Now. See what God will do-how he will deliver you-when you come to him in humility.
