2 Corinthians 12: Strength in Weakness

2 Corinthians 12: Strength in Weakness

“For when I am weak, then I am strong.” -2 Corinthians 12:10

Do you ever have one of those days when nothing seems to go right? We all do. Our automatic response in those times is often to ask, “Why would God allow this to happen?” The Apostle Paul gives us the answer.

“For when I am weak, then I am strong.” Is it possible God could allow our day to seemingly spin out of control to reveal our frailty and weakness? In our time of need, we are more likely to look to our source of strength.

I recently found myself in one of these periods of life and decided to take a walk from the office. The street I chose to walk down had a sign posted with “Dead End” on it. Once I reached the last house on the street, the pavement ended and a field of flowers stood. In the midst of the flowers, a single rabbit sat, munching on a snack with no care for time or food. He was not stressed over bills or relationships or deadlines. He just enjoyed the provision of God.

Sometimes it is at a dead end we see most clearly.

May God use the troubles we face today to draw us to him. In our weakness, may we see his greatness and remember that when I am weak, then I am strong.
