70 degrees. Ten boys. Two hours. One great playground. How could this day have been anything but fabulous?
Plus The Knights of Cambridge, a play date, a lot of blueberries, and lots of fun with schoolwork.
(For example, gone are the days when our Handwriting Without Tears curriculum produced nothing but tears. The workbook has introduced a self-check box where the boys have to read the evaluation criteria and decide whether to give themselves credit for the word. There is a lot of erasing, and doing it over until they think it is perfect. But there is also a lot of pride and joy with the finished product. And I get to stay completely out of it.)
Going to bed for a quick nap. CutiePie got up at three. Jeff is still gone. And the Au Pair is sick. I’m pooped.
In spite of all of that, if there were box on our calendar where I could put a check next to the days that met my criteria for a good day, today would most certainly get a check. How about you? What does it take for you to get a check?
