By John J. Murphy

When we are in communion with our true essence, our divine spiritual Self, we are living life at full potential. We are that we are. We are without fear. We are without doubt. We are without any perceived need for approval, control or security. We know that there is no sickness or death and that anything temporary is without true value. This is a state of grace. It is our natural essence, our flow. It is home. It is heaven. It is joy. It is peace. Ego and evil have left our conscience. When we are in this state, we carry no jealousy or anger. We carry no judgment. We feel relaxed. We laugh and we smile – a lot!

Challenges will always come and go. The state of grace does not mean that we have no yin moments. This would defy the laws of the universe. It simply means that we approach and experience these challenges with a different mindset, a state of compassion and grace. We see through and beyond the yin moments to the reason why they must exist. Consider these moments to be opportunities for expressing unconditional love and forgiveness. When someone annoys you, see them as doing their job. They are simply giving you a chance to test yourself, to change your mind – perhaps even to smile. Consider that on a soul level, the exchange is taking place in order for both of you to grow. Consider that the incident is not some spontaneous, unfortunate event, but an “agreement” that you both made at a soul level long ago. This is karma. It is action and reaction. It is an imprint or memory at the soul level that we carry with us until we learn to balance the scale and spiritually let it go. We are not victims at all. We participated in creating our own debt, perhaps long ago. Make amends now. Let go of the ego self and bring harmony and balance back into your life. Witness the wisdom and perfection in every human exchange for the spiritual meaning it carries.

The same holds true with work challenges. The nature of the workplace today is to do more with less. People often become intimidated by these increasing demands, perhaps even angry, but it does not help. Chances are anger only makes it worse. When we become angry or bitter, we hurt ourselves. We convince ourselves that anger is real, sometimes even rationalizing its value. Listen to spirit. Be still. Open your mind. Allow yourself to see the wisdom and compassion and higher intelligence of God. It is all around us. Let go of the ego constraints, and see with new eyes. We have nothing to fear. We have nothing to be angry about. We get through these challenges. We evolve and grow. Remember, there is no problem without a solution. We see it when we believe it.
