Do you want to be rich? Do you want to have more money than you know what to do with? Do you want to be able to pay off all your debts? Then consider this. As long as you want to be rich, you will never be. In fact, wanting to be rich actually prevents you from becoming financially successful. The more you want it, the more it eludes you. Yes, your urgent desire may bring you temporary victories. It may motivate you to work harder and harder. But have you noticed something about that? Have you noticed that the harder you work to satisfy your wants, the bigger and more imposing those wants become? Have you noticed that it is a never-ending cycle? You want more and more because you think it will fulfill you. You work harder and harder to get it. And when you get there, to your dismay you discover that you’re not really there. All you’ve done is create more wants.

So you go into debt, hoping to short-circuit the process. You mistakenly think that if you could only reach a certain level of reward, a certain level of possession, that you’ll finally enjoy the fulfillment you so desperately desire. But it never happens, does it?

To truly break the cycle, you don’t need any more of anything. You don’t need more resources. You don’t need more lucky breaks. You don’t need to stumble on to a “ground-floor” business opportunity. You don’t need to figure out a clever way to take advantage of others. All you need is to fully and sincerely enjoy where you are. Do that, and you’ll realize that you’re truly rich. And from that genuine richness, you can manifest anything you desire.
