Yesterday, one of Donald Trump’s finalists for the VP nomination expressed support for abortion rights on a Sunday morning news program.
Today, he says he’s pro-life.
Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn (Ret.):
“This pro-choice issue is a legal issue that should be decided by the courts,” Flynn told on Fox News. “I believe in law. If people want to change the law, they should vote so that we can appoint pro-life judges. I believe the law should be changed.
Flynn’s clarification may add even more confusion to a prospective ticket with a stunning lack of clarity and consistency on a top GOP priority, criminalizing abortion. But for social conservatives inclined to trust Trump, well, they’ll believe just about anything.
