This is not normal, Day 310

In response to a journalist’s piece about how Trump attacks people of color with particular spitefulness and cruelty, the president simply repeats his his MAGA mantra.

If you doubted that “Make America great again” is shorthand for “Make America white again,” President Trump is determined to prove to you that his entire appeal is based on white race resentment.

As a citizen, I am grateful my countrymen who have tirelessly carried the banner of resistance. I imagine it must be exhausting, yet it remains necessary every day.

Let’s all pledge to follow their example and do our part in the months to come.

Even by his own pathetically low standard, President Trump’s tweets this week were obnoxious and breathtakingly contemptuous of democratic norms.
