Well, I’m on a path today I wasn’t expecting to be on. I was hoping to be jogging today, but it looks like I’m either on a rain delay or I’m going to have to opt out for a different form of exercise. One or the other, I’ve got to do what I’ve got to do.
I’m on a path right now that is unique to me and one of the reasons is because I am standing under a tremendous evergreen tree.
the times from Revelation 4 onward
If you go down the path just a little way, you see not just some sort of bush out there. You see a very large, very well formed magnolia tree.
How many people can say they have all of that within walking distance of their home?
It’s unique the paths that we get on, and the ways that we get used to. Sometimes we find ourselves in areas that don’t always seem to add up or match.
That’s like the piece that I’m going to be sharing with you. There are divergent views on the times or the last days.
Enjoy the weather,
Ptr. Jared
Revelation 4 begins with a major shift in the times
Then as I looked, I saw a door standing open in heaven, and the same voice I had heard before spoke to me like a trumpet blast. The voice said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this.” (verse 1, NLT)
Some consider this verse to be another Word to the whole church, like chapters 2-3. To see my vlog nothing really new on Revelation 1-3 CLICK HERE
Note the voice of a trumpet and the call to come up here.
Can you guess what this may be alluding to in the times, apocalyptic times?
This is possibly the Rapture passage in Revelation, or the First Resurrection, before the Antichrist and the Tribulation.
The voice of the trumpet also announces the entrance of Christ in John’s initial vision (Rev 1.10).
From this point on, everything changes
There are scenes that John vividly describes of the courts of Heaven. Then there are scenes that he describes on earth.
In Heaven, the saints are marching in. That’s you and me if you’re a Christian.
On earth, it’s all duck-and-cover because of the Antichrist and also because of the wrath of God.
Let me stop to tell you one major thing I’ve preached and taught
Don’t think you can live as a Christian in the Tribulation under the rule of the Antichrist. Don’t risk it, even though Revelation speaks about some who turn to Christ.
If you know the Gospel, but you are taking a risk to live for the wrong god now – whether the god you serve is yourself, a higher power, or a demon – how do you think you are going to live for the right God then?
If Jesus Christ is not truly your Lord and Savior now, you’ll probably be on a shortcut to Hell then.
That’s one of the major themes of prophecy – whether about the times or about the last days. It’s one of the major themes of Revelation as well; get ready, stay ready!
