Jordan vs. Trump | In Dialogue With Carmen Ingle

Jordan vs. Trump | In Dialogue With Carmen Ingle October 8, 2023

I took time to discuss Jim Jordan and Donald Trump with my politically astute sister, Carmen Ingle. They both are in consideration for the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Jared: Did you hear Trump may become the next Speaker of the House?

Carmen: Yeah Matt Geatz nominated him but I think Jim Jordan might get it. Which is also a really good pick.

Jared: Dad likes Jim Jordan. I don’t follow politics like I used to. I just think it would be funny if Trump got it.

Carmen: I think it would be epic! I really like Jim Jordan as a Speaker because just like Trump he’s aggressive. And right now we don’t need someone who’s willing to compromise. The Republican Party has compromised enough. We need aggressive leadership who is willing to fight for what is right. The only time compromising works is when both sides are doing it. Right now this administration all the way down on the left is driving this country into a really dark place.

Jared: Besides being aggressive with no compromise, what are 1 or 2 other attributes Jim Jordan brings to the table?

Carmen: He doesn’t support more funding to Ukraine. He does support closing the border and building a border wall. He supports law enforcement and he’s against hormone therapy or any other radical surgery for minors to change their sex. He supports the Second Amendment. And he’s against forcing vaccines on people.

And also along with myself and most others he supports free speech.

Jared: Fair enough. Now can you give me 1 good reason why Trump would be a good choice? Would it help his election or not? Would it be good for the country?

Carmen: While I think it would be epic for Trump to be Speaker, I think he’s better suited for the Presidency. He’s already being attacked left and right and I think he just doesn’t have the time to be Speaker.

Jared: Right. He’s got a bigger battle to fight. When will the House of Representatives make the decision on the Speaker?

Carmen: I’m not sure but I think this next week?

After being both on the side of welfare and on the side of business I feel like the middle income families are sinking. There needs to be more support for those families that are working hard but still barely getting by. There needs to be stricter laws for those on welfare along with drug testing on a regular basis. There’s no reason someone who doesn’t want to work can live comfortably and eat good on everyone else’s dime while middle income families are struggling to get food on the table and pay their bills. I’m all for people getting assistance where they need it if they are willing to work and maintain a clean lifestyle. It should be used as a stepping stone to better ones self.

Jared: Thanks for your perspective. I think Trump was especially good in this regard. I would hope that Jim Jordan would pick up the baton in the house. Economic pressures seem insurmountable now for so many people, including the middle class.

Carmen: Absolutely!
