The heartfelt counsel of a friend
Is as sweet as perfume and incense. Prov xxvii.9, NLT

coffee tip for tea time

Speaking of sweet perfume and incense, there is the possibility that some coffee lovers need to hear a brewing tip, just for a diversion.

  1. Use a Keurig or Verismo, an older one if necessary. I know, the Body of the coffee may not be as full as a Pour Over or a French Press; a matter of individual preference.
  2. It’s about mimicking a Ristretto, a long poured, sweet Espresso. Some think it’s a short pulled coffee shot and don’t like it. However, it has a different quality of coffee in it because of the way a Ristretto is pulled.
  3. A Ristretto really is a unique Espresso; one I believe has a sweeter taste if somebody appreciates Espresso by itself now and again.

It’s a little random, but here’s a recent song about incense as you enjoy a warm beverage.

The Belonging Co
Incense (feat. Sarah Reeves)

  1. Yesterday with the coffee machine, I warmed up half a thermos of water. If the cup is not warm you instantly lose a few degrees of warmth when you pour your hot drink.
  2. I added my coffee to the machine, emptied the hot water, and dropped a cup with the longest, fullest setting. In a way, my slow pour from the older machine mimicked a Ristretto, but not nearly as well as my friendly, neighborhood Barista can do.
  3. If you don’t like strong, straight coffee like a Ristretto Espresso, I really think you might like an Americano with Ristretto shots.
  4. Drop in to the cafe, and while you’re there you’ve got to use the cafe cups!
