Cosmic Reconciliation in Christ
The Eucharist is the eternal reconciliation of all things. Bread and wine are not merely symbols…they are the reconciliation itself made present. To consume the Body and Blood of Christ is to enter the harmony of the universe. The fractured cosmos is restored. The estranged…the forgotten…and the broken…all are enfolded in the eternal unity that Christ embodies. Every act of the manifestation of the Eternal Eucharist enacts what scripture names as the reconciliation of all creation (Col. 1:20).
To receive Christ is to receive reconciliation itself. The Body we eat is not a fragment…it is the Body that binds galaxies, angels and humanity into unbroken unity. The Blood we drink flows through every reality restoring all that is sundered. Whoever communes with Christ participates in the Eucharist as the living eternal reconciliation of all creation. Nothing is outside. Nothing remains apart.
Scripture and the Cosmic Vision of the Eternal Eucharist
From the earliest texts the reconciliation of all creation is evident. Jesus breaks bread with sinners and outcasts as though the unity of all things were already manifest (Matt. 9:10–11). John declares, “God so loved the world that he gave his only Son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Paul expands the vision, “As in Adam all die so also in Christ shall all be made alive…that God may be all in all” (1 Cor. 15:22 28). In Colossians, Paul writes, “God was pleased to reconcile to himself all things whether on earth or in heaven making peace by the blood of his cross” (Col. 1:19–20).
Paul proclaims mercy that will not be withheld, “For God has consigned all to disobedience that he may have mercy on all” (Rom. 11:32). Every knee will bow every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord…and in this eternal confession all creation is reconciled (Phil. 2:10–11). Revelation states, “God will wipe every tear from their eyes…death shall be no more…mourning and crying and pain will be no more” (Rev. 21:4). The Eucharist is the living enactment of this reconciliation…present and operative in the eternal now.
The Eternal Eucharist as Cosmic Harmony
The manifestation of the Eternal Eucharist does not point to reconciliation…it is the Reconciliation. Christ gives without reserve. The bread is the Body that restores all being. The cup is the Blood that harmonizes the cosmos. Estrangement dissolves. Hostility ends. Divisions vanish. Every morsel and every drop heals all of creation itself.
Absence is impossible in the Eucharist. The poor…the horrible…the selfish…the broken…the imprisoned…the sick…the outcast….the hungry…the left out…all are gathered. Participation enacts the eternal reconciliation of all things. Joy is unbounded. Presence is complete. Every fragment contains the fullness of the reconciled cosmos.
Eternal Union of All Things
Every Eucharist opens into the eternal now where “God will be all in all” (1 Cor. 15:28). The Reconciliation is not deferred…it is operative. Grace is infinite. Its fullness enfolds everything. Nothing is left outside. The Eucharist itself reconciles all. Just as five loaves and two fish fed thousands with abundance overflowing (Matt. 14:13–21)…so the Eternal Eucharist manifests abundance without end…reconciling all creation in Christ.
To commune is to enter Christ’s eternal life…and Christ’s life is the reconciliation of all things. Saints…monsters…martyrs…the depraved…the departed…and the forgotten…are united in the Eternal Eucharist. Participation is mystical orientation at the axis of the cosmos where separation ceases and all that is scattered is gathered in Christ.
The Eternal Eucharist as Vision of Universal Reconciliation
To call the Eucharist the vision of the Gospel is to see that every image of salvation converges here. Liberation…forgiveness…healing…adoption…new creation…all are consummated in the Eternal Eucharist. Creation itself is transformed. Enmity is dissolved. Bread is broken for all. The cup is poured for all. Christ is given for all. Anything less diminishes the reality of the Reconciliation.
The Eucharist, Eternal Reconciliation of All Things
The Eucharist is the eternal reconciliation of all things in Christ. All beings are already united…without absence…without end. Every morsel…every drop…enacts the healing of the cosmos. Christ is present not in time but as reconciliation itself…enfolding all…restoring all…drawing all…into divine unity. There is no separation from God. There is no residue of discord. There is no one left out. There is nowhere else. There is only the eternal universal reconciliation of all things. That is the Gospel. That is the Eucharist.
