God Is Always Late…You Should Be Too March 5, 2017

Recently, someone asked, “Why are you always late?” After a moment of thought, I replied, “I don’t know of any place worth being on time to.” Time is such an important part of our existence. It’s not for God. In fact, I think there is something heretical about time. As evidenced in the movements of God, being and time cannot coexist. God simply is. The mind focused on being does not have time for time. God is never on time. In fact, God is always off of time. In the beauty of being, time is an illusion that God would never spend time on. One can become the person that God has created you to be. You just can’t be on time. You just have to be. God will meet you there. Somewhere beyond the minutes and seconds that control our lives, there is salvation. In the midst of the divine timeless reality, God is always late…you should be too.

Amen.
