Good morning. Let’s get started. It hasn’t been too long since I was with my friend Dominique Alexander organizing a rally. you see, on July 7, 2016 we were marching peacefully down the street…we were collaborating with our police department…we were exercising our first amendment rights. I was in the middle of the front of the protest when shots rang out. Brother Micah Johnson struggled with mental issues. The Brother should have never had a gun in the first place. The Brother needed help and we gave him a gun. 5 officers were slain in our streets. The blood of 5 officers flowed downtown. AND PRESIDENT TRUMP IS GOING TO COME TO THIS CITY?!?! AND TALK ABOUT GUNS?!?! HOW WE NEED MORE PEOPLE WITH GUNS?!?! THE NRA IS GOING TO COME TO THIS CITY?!?! AND TALK ABOUT GUNS?!?! THAT WE NEED MORE GUNS IN THESE STREETS?!?! It is that type of thinking…It is that type of mentality…that led to the deaths of these 5 officers in this city. We can’t talk about the tragedy of July the 7th without talking about the idiotic policies that put a gun in the hands of Micah Johnson. I am tired…I am worn out…I am exasperated…with politicians talking about the need to end mass shootings…and providing the guns that are used to carry these shootings out. When I see all of these people proclaiming their faith in God…I am reminded that they have forgotten the old adage about loving your neighbor as yourself. How can you love your neighbor as yourself and keep supplying guns to their neighborhood? You can’t. I have one message I want to leave with you. NRA! PRESIDENT TRUMP! WE ARE GOING TO SHUT YOU DOWN!!!!!!!
