Dust Jackets … What to do with them?

What do you do with dust jackets on books? There seem to be three theories:

First, remove and trash.

Second, keep and preserve.

Third, keep but first remove and then cover in preserving synthetic material so the cover will endure through the tribulation and beyond.

Here’s what I do, in three steps:First, a dust cover came with The Geneva Bible, a Bible I’m using for some study I’m doing on the history of the King James Bible.

Second, I remove the dust cover.

Third, I trash the dust cover (yes, it will go into the recycling bin). Why? One expression says it all: Paper cuts!

So what do you do with yours? Keep them or trash them?
