Prophecy Watch: Robots and Security is a reflection from Revelation 13:16-17 on the way in which robots and security will affect our lives in the future.

“And he requires everyone—small and great, rich and poor, free and slave—to be given a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark: the beast’s name or the number of his name.” (Revelation 13:16–17, HCSB)

While we are not there yet, we are beginning to see the technology emerge which will be required for people to make transactions, to travel, to provide for everyone’s security. Someday in the future, we will see robots be used for security. People will desire security over privacy. When that happens, there will be various kinds of robots used to check on us as a people. The Bible predicts that this will be used in a negative way. See the video below about the technology in use today. One can only wonder the steps it would take to go from scanning tickets, eyes, and fingerprints to hands and foreheads. The steps would be few.
