I am attending the International Baptist Church Ministries Annual Meeting this weekend at the Riley Center on the campus of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Unlike previous years, I had to come alone. However, I have enjoyed working with this wonderful group of people.
This organization helps the churches of the International Baptist Convention. Many American ex-patriots who work outside of the United States worship in the churches of this convention. This organization allows the members of these churches to receive grants which allow the tithes and offerings that these Americans give go to these English-speaking churches.
It is a fruitful partnership and one I continue to participate. Tonight there will be a “Reunion” Dinner. Tomorrow the Annual Meeting will take place, followed by a Board of Directors Meeting. Saturday evening, we will meet for dinner at the Edelweiss German Restaurant in Fort Worth. I will lead worship and preach the message Sunday morning at the Riley Center for those who have stayed for the weekend.
Thank God for the work of both of these organizations. Please feel free to contact them if you want to be part of what they are doing. I have written about them here and here.
