It was a Labour Day weekend, and The Gravenhurst Opera House was the first stop of my Northern Ontario tour.  Needless to say,  I was so excited to be doing my very first show there!  What a beautiful place!  Upon entering the Opera House, we were immediately welcomed by James and Bryan, and of course, Martin, the sound man who was to meet us for sound check before the show.  They weren’t alone! The history of the Gravenhurst Opera House tells... Read more

Premonitions!  Ever think about how these affect our every day lives?  This is such an interesting topic for me as I’ve experienced them since I can remember! What are they?  Can they occur in dreams?  Should you take them seriously and be paying attention to your premonitions?  So many questions, and so many answers, thanks to V! V writes: Hi Jay,  I started getting premonitions as a child.  Lately the premonitions sometimes come from my dad who passed away on... Read more

Today’s vlog is all about “The Fear of Dying:  You’re not alone”.  Some people are so afraid of dying, that they obsess over the thought of their actual demise every single day.  How stressful must that be, thinking about how and when they are going to die!  In order to resolve this fear, we must first address the root of it!  If you’re afraid of the big “D” word, then this video is for you!  Thanks to Sylvia for the... Read more

Angels work in mysterious ways. Do you believe in Angels? They’re always around, if you really look for them. It was a particularly hectic winter the year my mother had been hospitalized with a back problem. The doctor’s, however, were more concerned about her dementia, and that she had become a hazard to her own well-being and safety. I had always had such a strong connection with my mother; she was my mentor, the love and light in my life.... Read more

Social Media as we’ve all experienced in this day and age can be so amazing, and then again, can be so cruel! This morning while having tea, I saw what I refer to as “The Little Black Cloud Syndrome” floating by in my newsfeed! I truly felt for what I was reading, and could see that those reaching out didn’t have the most honourable intentions! The perfect inspiration for this video. Enjoy! x Photo Credit: Fight by Mary1826 @ Pixabay Read more

I just loved reading the column today, searching out feelings around the words that pull me in. Spirit has been at it again, wanting Marian Poirier to know something that will bring her comfort! The message?  Don’t worry, we’re together Mom is all I could hear when reading this question! Hi Jay: I was wondering if you had any messages for me? I lost my husband in 2004 and my son in 2005, and I was wondering if either of... Read more

How exciting I thought, an Elvis concert!! I wasn’t even a fan, but I was thrilled to be accompanying my sister-in-law to Vegas so that we could attend no other than the “King’s” concert! I still remembered sitting on the two storied bus, sitting facing the inside aisle, lights shining through the windows. It was still and dark outside and I was so excited,  afterall, I had never been to Las Vegas. My sister-in-law Liz was sitting to my left.... Read more

How do we help our children adjust to seeing the things that we can’t see?  How can we guide them and help them feel safe when they are experiencing hearing, seeing or sensing things that we either don’t believe in, or discount because we’ve personally never experienced anything like it!  You don’t need to feel helpless when it comes to supporting a gifted child!  A shout out to Sophie who asked the greatest question! Jay, my nine year old daughter... Read more
