It is marvelous, isn’t it, that even our sins cannot thwart God’s Providence and grace but are, somehow, turned to good when we repent and when we trust in God rather than our own devices and plans. Joseph did this, and so does the Lord and his holy martyrs. And so must we. Hence, the 14th-century English mystic, Julian of Norwich once said: “It was necessary that there should be sin; but all shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well’”. This is a marvellous mystery, indeed; an invitation to faith in the good Lord of all.

Speaking of #StationsoftheCross: a challenge.
Sister Mary says you should!
6. From Fr. Lorenzo Scupoli (1610) in Magnificat today:
Keep attention in yourself and keep only one standard in your mind—to please God in everything, both great and small. Then life will teach you to discern clearly and see through the wiles of the enemy.

There is nothing good or redeeming about the madness of sin. It is the road to hell. #homilytweet

8. Speaking to the Neocatechumenal Way today, Pope Francis called for a reawakening of faith.
even before words, it is your witness of life that manifests the heart of Christ’s revelation: that God loves man to the point of laying down His life for us and that he was raised by the Father to give us the grace to give our lives for others. Today’s world badly needs this great message. How much solitude, how much suffering, how much distance from God in the many peripheries of Europe and America, and in many cities of Asia! Today, in every latitude, humanity greatly needs to hear that God loves us and that love is possible! These Christian communities, thanks to you missionary families, have the essential task of making this message visible. And what is this message? “Christ is risen, Christ lives. Christ lives amongst us””
