41 Years and 55,000,000 Abortions Later….

41 Years and 55,000,000 Abortions Later….

On January 22, 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court, in a 7-2 decision, ruled that women had a “right” to have an abortion in any state of the Union, under the Fourteenth amendment to the Constitution.  Since that time, more than 55 million unborn babies have been killed in their mothers’ wombs.

On January 22, 2015, tens of thousands of pro-life Americans will once again memorialize the tragic decision at the annual March For Life in our nation’s capitol.

Faith Hill, "A Baby Changes Everything"
Faith Hill, “A Baby Changes Everything”

Each day during this week, as we prepare for the anniversary of the infamous Roe v. Wade decision, I plan to share a pro-life song or poem–something to remind us of the gift of a child’s life.

Today, I invite you to listen to Faith Hill’s live performance of “A Baby Changes Everything.”  The song, actually, is taken from her Christmas album and refers to the newborn Child Jesus–but doesn’t every baby change everything, enriching the lives of mothers and fathers, strengthening the community, offering a peek into the mystery and the magic of God’s love?
