Anti-Catholic Slurs Bring One-Year Suspension for Wisconsin Attorney

Rebekah Mariya Nett doesn’t think much of Catholics.  The attorney said as much during a bankruptcy case involving a subsidiary of the Wisconsin-based Dr. R.C. Samanta Roy Institute of Science and Technology.  According to a report from EWTN News, Ms. Nett:

• called U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Nancy Dreher a “black-robed bigot” and a “Catholic Knight Witch Hunter.”
• called one trustee in the case a “Jesuitess.”
• called another trustee a “priest’s boy.”

There was more:  The outspoken attorney accused the trustees of conspiracy.  She claimed that Judge Dreher and others were players in a Vatican conspiracy to destroy SIST.  She described the U.S. courts as “a bunch of ignoramus, bigoted Catholic beasts that carry the sword of the church.”

And asked about her criticism of Judge Dreher, attorney Nett dug the hole even deeper, insisting that her memo was referring to “a mentality and an adherence to a universal creed of White Supremacy.”

In a transcript of the attorney’s response, Nett alleges that her client “has been attacked by Jesuit controlled mainstream media for three and one-half decades.”  Further, in her written statement she accuses Showano, WI Mayor Lorna Marquardt of being “associated with the Free Masons, another secret society that also ultimately assists the Jesuit Order.”

Now the Wisconsin Supreme Court has suspended Nett’s license to practice law in that state for one year.  In the state of Minnesota, where she was also licensed to practice law, the state Supreme Court had suspended her law license in November 2013.

Nett will have a lot of time in the next year to rethink her attitude toward people of faith, and Catholics in particular.  A long enrollment in sensitivity training might be in order.
