My First Journal Article

My First Journal Article 2015-03-05T10:31:32-07:00

I am happy to report that, today, the Journal of Pentecostal Theology accepted my article submission for publication in their fall issue this year. This article is about eight pages in length and similar in content to my post on this blog on November 1, 2013, which is entitled “Jesus’ Kingdom Keys Explain Spirit Baptism.” Furthermore, this article addresses the primary distinctive in Pentecostalism, which Pentecostals call “subsequence,” that baptism with the Holy Spirit occurs sometime after salvation, and most Pentecostals add that it must be accompanied by speaking in tongues.

Almost all of the articles published in the Journal of Pentecostal Theology are written by professors and published scholars, some being of international renown. So, this is a significant accomplishment for me since I am an Evangelical, thus not a Pentecostal, and I am not really a scholar since I don’t have a PhD. This acceptance is an example of JPT’s stated goal of “fostering the fruitful ecumenical and theological interchange that continues to expand between global Pentecostalism and the full spectrum of ecclesial and theological traditions.”
