Due to the controversy about U.S. President Trump’s immigration policy being stringently imposed recently by his Attorney General Jeff Sessions, First Lady Melania Trump flew to Texas today to visit immigrant families stopped at the U.S.-Mexico border. She wore a knee length, lime-colored, teenage jacket that said in painted white letters on the back, “I really don’t care. Do u?” It raised a lot of eyebrows.
People wondered what she meant by wearing a garment with that statement. It’s implication was that she didn’t care about the president’s disastrous immigration policy which has resulted in thousands of children being separated from their parents and even transported to many other states where they are being held, in some cases like prisoners. If Mrs. Trump doesn’t care about this suffering, why did she visit these bereaved families?
Melanie’s spokesperson Stephanie Grisham explained, “There was no hidden message.” That makes it worse. The woman appears to be crazy, traveling to visit such border chaos and wearing that message which millions, if not billions, of people will see on television and in other news media. Mrs. Trump is a former model who is well known for choosing her wardrobe carefully. But as far as I know, she has not worn messages on her clothing, at least like that.
I got to thinking that maybe she was cracking up due to being married to Donald Trump! She reportedly had not favored him winning the presidency. And on the presidential inauguration day, she did not travel with him to it and was seen crying, as if distraught because of it.
President Trump explained this situation later today by, what else, tweeting. He explained, in deference to Grisham, “’I REALLY DON’T CARE, DO U?’ written on the back of Melania’s jacket, refers to the Fake News Media. Melania has learned how dishonest they are, and she truly no longer cares!” I don’t believe much of what Trump says, but I think that’s probably right.
Melanie Trump wore that jacket while boarding an airplane at Andrews Air Force base in Maryland. When she disembarked from the plane, in McAllen, Texas, she was not wearing that jacket but a cream-colored jacket instead. Later in the day, she flew back to Andrews Air Force base and disembarked from the plane, again wearing the jacket with the offensive message.
I think that makes it look like her husband was right. How so? She only wore the offensive jacket in Maryland. That’s close to Washington DC, the nation’s capitol. Since she only wore it there, not in Texas at the border, the message was protest against the news media, or the so-called swamp, or whatever.
My take is that Melania Trump probably didn’t have such views about the U.S. news media prior to meeting The Donald. But after being married to this great big liar and BSer for nearly fifteen years, he has brainwashed her!
