Today, President Donald Trump was interviewed on the finance news TV channel CNBC. Trump claimed that China has “lost 15 to 20 trillion dollars in value since the day I was elected.”
That is so far from the truth that this man looks like he is headed for a psychiatric ward. Maybe the DC lawyer and constant critic of President Trump, George Conway–who is married to one of Trump’s primary advisors, Kellyanne Conway–is right.
Conway tweeted yesterday about President Trump, “You’re not ‘presidential’ at all, period. You’re mentally unwell. You engage in bizarre, irrational, self-defeating behavior, which prompts criticism of you, which triggers more bizarre, irrational, self-defeating behavior. You would have been fired from any other job by now.”
Conway continued, “If, say, a CEO of a major publicly-held company engaged in conduct remotely similar to what we’ve seen of Donald J. Trump over the past 2-1/2 years, what would happen? How long would she or he last in the job? At a minimum, the board of directors would demand that the CEO undergo rigorous psychological examination. But they’d probably just get a new CEO.”
The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is terminology used to estimate the economic size of a nation. More particularly, it is the total value of that nation’s goods and services for a certain number of years. In 2017, the World Bank estimated that China’s GDP was worth $12.238 trillion. Today, CNN said China’s economy grew 6% in 2018 so that its GDP is now valued at “just over $13 trillion.”
Trump needs to do the math. If he has caused China to lose $15-20 trillion, that’s more than China is worth! If Trump is right, “Chiner,” as he sometimes pronounces it, wouldn’t even exist!
Trump foisted this hefty tariff war on China. It’s a sort of economic Cold War with a communistic nation, similar to our militaristic Cold War with the Soviet Union in the 1960s to 1990. In recent weeks, Trump has threatened a trade war with Mexico. But he backed off last week. Trump also said during the CNBC interview that he is going to slap tariffs on France’s wines that are imported to the U.S. Can it really be said that Mr. Donald Trump believes in free markets?
Donald Trump likes to brag about how intelligent he is. And he often criticizes other people by saying they are of low intelligence. Donald Trump has said publicly, and multiple times since he has been president, that he is “a stable genius.” Just a few days ago he said he was “an extremely stable genius.”
Mr. Trump said last year right after NBA superstar LeBron James and Don Lemon were together on Lemon’s CNN show that they both have “low intelligence.” Pitiful! And what about those two guys being black? You have to question if that indicates Trump is racist.
But does Mr. Trump ever take an IQ test and reveal its results to the public? No! Moreover, I’d like to see him take a psyche test and reveal its results to the public. I’ve taken three in my life, and I sure don’t care if the public is told the text results. But Donald Trump won’t even let his tax records be publicly known. Anyone who is so secretive about himself must have a lot to hide. Still, there’s a lot he doesn’t hide which makes him look like a looney headed for a psyche ward, such as telling us that in the past 2.5 years he has caused China to lose more wealth than it ever had!
