Donald Trump Says He Doesn’t Brag

Donald Trump says he got a hole-in-one this past Saturday while playing golf and that he doesn’t like braggers about such things; yet he still bragged about it last night by issuing a written statement about it that was published. He described the shot as follows,””It took place at Trump International Golf Course Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, on the 7th hole, which was playing 181-yards into a slight wind. I hit a 5-iron, which sailed magnificently into a rather strong wind, with approximately 5 feet of cut, whereupon it bounced twice and then went ‘clunk,’ into the hole.” Well, I won’t hold that against the guy. But he utters a lot more hubris than that.

Trump said he was playing golf with three PGA Tour pros, which included four-time major winner Ernie Els, and they were playing on the Trump International Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Trump said they had a team match game in which he and Ernie teamed together. The Bragger Extraordinaire then divulged, “I won’t tell you won because I am a very modest individual, and you will then say I was bragging, and I don’t like people who brag.” Oh, then Trump doesn’t like himself. Or is this a case of Mr. Trump talking in the first person, but it’s the third person Trump who brags?

The back cover of my new book, Bible Predicts Trump Fall, begins, “This book is a collection of posts the author wrote on his Kermit Zarley Blog about Donald Trump’s presidency as it was happening.” I state in the preface, “I often said I believed Donald Trump is the most arrogant man I have ever seen.” One chapter in the book compares 27 public sayings made by Donald Trump about himself during 2016-2019 with ten sayings of Jesus recorded in the Gospel of Matthew in the New Testament as follows:
