Some leading voting pollsters say they’ve never seen such a switch in American voting sentiment regarding a presidential election as they have in the past month, since President Joe Biden withdrew his bid for reelection under pressure from Democratic leaders and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to take his place against former Republican President Donald Trump in the race for the presidency. At that time, Biden was substantially behind Trump in the polls. Now, Harris is tied with, or a little ahead of, Trump in the polls. Such a fast switch in voter sentiment is unprecedented.
And why is it happening? There are several reasons. Perhaps the main one is Trump’s narcissism. He refuses to listen to his political advisors and former ones. For example, Trump’s #1 political advisor when he was president was Kellyanne Conway. This week she said, “The winning formula for President Trump is very plain to see: It’s fewer insults, more insights and [a] policy contrast.” And former advisor Peter Navarro, who is now doing time, said likewise, “When Trump attacks Harris personally rather than on policy, Harris’s support among swing voters rises — particularly among women.”
All of this is true, but not according to Donald Trump. He explains that he knows better. Thus, he plows ahead with his usual modus operandi of attack, attack, attack, name-calling, and lie, lie, lie. It’s all in the Bible’s main book of wisdom—Proverbs. I have it in my book, Bible Predicts Trump Fall.
“In abundance of counselors there is victory” (Proverbs 24.6 NRSV).
“A false witness will not go unpunished, and a liar will not escape” (Proverbs 19.5).
“The wicked … die for lack of discipline, and because of their great folly they are lost” (Proverbs 5.22-23).
“There is a way that seems right to a person, but its end is the way to death” (Proverbs 14.12; 16.25).
Like a dog that returns to its vomit is a fool who reverts to his folly. Do you see persons wise in their own eyes? There is more hope for fools than for them” (Proverbs 26.11-12).
“Every word of God proves true” (Proverbs 30.5).
