New Book a Powerful Witness that Science Indicates God

New Book a Powerful Witness that Science Indicates God 2025-10-24T15:05:14-07:00

An international, bestselling book has just been released in the U.S., five days ago. It is an expanded version of a book in Europe entitled God, the Science, the Evidence. Authors Michel Yves-Bollore and Olivier Bonnassies have presented in this book as a powerful, scientific case for the existence of God. An introductory remark about the book at its amazon.com page states, “After four years of research in partnership with over twenty scientists and esteemed experts, this book explores one of the most significant questions we face: the existence or non-existence of a creator God.”

Religion Versus Science

With the arrival of Enlightenment, science began to supersede religious beliefs with reasoning until Darwinian evolution became the dominant theory of science and the academy as a replacement for religion’s creationism. Amazon’s description of this book further states, “And yet, with unexpected and astonishing force, the pendulum of science has swung back in the other direction, owing to a rapid succession of discoveries: the theory of relativity; quantum mechanics; the Big Bang; the theories of expansion, heat death, and fine-tuning of the universe. This newly acquired knowledge has upended the certainties of the twentieth century collective consciousness. Once the only acceptable theory, materialism is increasingly considered an irrational belief.”

The Big Bang Started to Change Everything

Just think of it—for hundreds of years science had claimed that the universe was static and that it had always existed. Then, in 1929, it was a huge and arguably unwanted discovery by the scientific community when the Hubble telescope proved that the universe was expanding. This realization provided strong evidence that the universe had not existed forever but that it began at an instant, about 12-13 billion years ago, which came to be called the Big Bang theory. That supported the very beginning of the Bible which declares, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1.1 NIV).

Robert Wilson, winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics for his discovery of Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation, endorses this book, saying, “As the Big Bang theory suggests, if the Universe had a beginning, then we cannot avoid the question of creation.” That has always seemed a sure conclusion to me.

Amazon.com’s description of the book concludes, “The authors of this highly readable book retrace the fascinating history of these scientific breakthroughs and offer a rigorous overview of the new proof of the existence of God. God: the Science and the Evidence is an invitation to reflect and debate the place of God in science.”

I Believe in the End There Will Be No Atheists

For about the past two decades, I have believed that science was going to provide increasing evidence for creation of this universe by intelligent design if not a personal God. One of my reasons is that the Bible has so much information about earth being special in comparison to the rest of the universe, which nullifies that the universe came into existence randomly rather than by intelligent purpose. But some specific texts from Bible prophesy are what first garnered my attention in believing this way.

Bible prophecy relates that the final Antichrist—who will have a worldwide, evil grip on this world during the final days of this age—clearly will believe in the existence of the God of creation of this universe. Thus, in the latter days there will be few, if any, atheists. I intend to have much more to say about this in a book in my Still Here series.

The Antichrist Will Speak Against the Most High

The book of Daniel relates three visions that Daniel had, in Daniel 7, 8, and 10-11, and I believe all three feature the final Antichrist even though they had past precursors who fulfilled some of those prophecies, such as Syrian King Antiochus IV of the 2nd century BCE. Daniel 7.25 (NIV) says of that final Antichrist, “He will speak against the Most High,” referring to the God of creation whose throne exists in heaven above everything else there. And Daniel 11.36 says of him, “He will exalt and magnify himself above every god and will say unheard-of things against the God of gods.” This text obviously means that the Antichrist will not consider himself to be that God Most High, but to be greater than all the other “gods,” who I believe refers to Satan and his foremost angels.

The Antichrist Will Blaspheme God Most High

The book of Revelation also affirms this Daniel narrative. For we read in Revelation 13.5-6 of “the beast,” a title for the final Antichrist in this book, “The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and exercise his authority for forty-two months. He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven.” Obviously, he will not do this unless he believes that God exists. But believing God exists is not enough for the saving of the soul.

But the Antichrist is not the only one on earth who will believe in the existence of God even though he hates God with such a passion. For we read in Revelation 16.9 that upon severed judgments from God, such as scorching people with fire, “They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God who had control over these plagues.”

Conclusion

I believe that these verses in the Bible’s two most apocalyptic books indicate that the Antichrist and most humans who are not God’s people will believe in the existence of God, but will oppose God in those final days of the age to their extreme detriment.
