My Next Book Is Coming Soon about COVID-19 and Moses

I’m about to finish a book about COVID-19 and comparing it to the Bible’s food laws in Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14. I expect to have it finished and available by the end of this month as an e-book on amazon.com’s Kindle Direct Publishing and as a print copy with their CreateSource. It is an enlargement of my series of blog posts I did in late March and up to mid-April. It will be Book Three in my STILL SERIES on biblical eschatology. The book will have “Moses” and “COVID-19” in the title, with one other word. I’ll keep you guessing about what that other word is. It is a little provocative. I expect the book’s front cover will have two image: a bat and Moses pointing at it.

My thesis for this book is that Moses was prescient with the food laws, designating “clean” and “unclean” animal meat, so that Jews could only eat clean animals–which is the basis for their dietary laws called being kosher-observant–and this is proved by the major infectious diseases epidemics/pandemics the world has suffered the past 102 years, beginning with the so-called Spanish Flu of 1918 that killed 50 to 100 million people.

Surprisingly, all nine leading epidemics/pandemics during this period were caused by zoonosis–the transmission of viruses from animals to humans. It’s because of mostly two related things: increase in the world’s human population and too close of contact between humans and wild animals due to our encroaching on their space by clearing land for farming, deforestation, and building communities.

We need to have better planning of the human use of earth’s resources. God made both clean animals and unclean animals, and the unclean animals have divine purposes. Humans just need to stay away from them and thereby give them their space to do what they do.
