Today in Beijing, China had a day of celebration about the ending of Japan’s part in WWII eighty years ago. In attendance were Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. (Trump had just had a summit meeting with only Putin in Alaska about trying to end Russia’s war on Ukraine.) The celebration centered on a massive military parade showing off China’s soldiers and weapons.
Trump Says World Leaders Are Conspiring
And Trump got sarcastic about it. The U.S. President wrote on his Truth Social account a few hours ago, “May President Xi and the wonderful people of China have a great and lasting day of celebration. Please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin, and Kim Jong Un, as you conspire against the United States of America.” Trump, what do you think you’ve been doing with your tariffs—conspiring to take money from other nations. I don’t think that will Make American Great Again.
I think that is the stupidest and most dangerous thing Donald Trump has said about foreign relations since he has been president both times. It just affirms to me that this man was never fit to be president of our nation. He hoodwinked American voters with his promises and lies. He started by saying in his 2016 presidential campaign that he would build a wall on the U.S.-Mexican to keep out illegal immigrants and “Mexico will pay for it.” Anyone who believed that should believe in the Tooth Fairy.
Trump keeps up with this stupid braggadocio, and his voters eat it up. When he campaigned in 2024 for his second presidency, he promised us all that he would end the war in Ukraine on his first day in office. He added that its because he has such a good relationship with Putin. That man lied when he amassed troops on the Ukraine border, saying they would not attack Ukraine. The two liars now seem to be distancing themselves from each other every hour.
China’s Xi Is Right—Trump Is a Big “Bully”
Communist China’s President Xi has been indirectly calling U.S. President Trump a “bully” because of his exorbitant tariffs on China, not to mention Trump’s tariffs on almost all the world’s nations. Xi has said that “China will not be bullied” about it. Xi is exactly right about calling Trump a “bully,” and it breaks my heart to have to admit this when I have been an strong anti-Communist all my life since I was eighteen years old.
The wisdom literature of the Bible says, “The wicked put on a bold face, but the upright give thought to their ways” (Proverbs 21.29 NRSV). That’s Trump’s main problem: he cannot see himself for who he is. It’s because he’s a classic narcissist and probably a sociopath. Trump’s previous friend and radio guy Howard Stern advised Trump, before he became president, that he should see a shrink. I second that commotion.
Anyone “Wise in their Own Eyes” Is a “Fool”
For years, Trump has been wearing a red cap that says, “Make America Great Again.” His way to do that is to be a big bully. All time great investor and wise man, the Oracle from Omaha Warren Buffett, who rarely says anything bad about anyone, says Trump’s tariffs are “war.” That’s about how it appears that President Xi sees it.
But now, Trump is sporting another red cap that says, “Trump Was Right About
Everything.” In my experience of meeting many people, the really smart and successful ones do about the opposite of broadcasting it. It’s like Trump has to do this to try to convince himself. He should read that Bible he sells. Another of its proverbs says, “Do you see persons wise in their own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for them” (Proverbs 26.12).
