Translation, 1 Kings 9

And it was according to the finishing of Shlomoh

to build the house of Yahweh
And the house of the king
And all the desire of Shlomoh which he took pleasure to do.
And appeared Yahweh to Shlomoh a second time
According as he appeared to him in Gibeon.
And said Yahweh to him,
?I have heard your prayer and your plea for grace
which you pled-for-grace before My face.
I have caused to be hold this house which you built
To set my name there until forever.
And shall be My eyes and My heart there all the days.
And you yourself, if you walk before My face
According as walked David your father
in perfection of heart
and in uprightness
To do according to all which I command you,
My ordinances
And my judgments
You shall guard.
Then I will cause to rise the throne of your kingdom over Israel to forever
Just as I spoke until David your father, saying,
?It shall not cut off for you a man from on the throne of Israel.?E
If turning you turn, you yourself and your sons, from after me
And they do not guard My commandments,
My ordinances which I gave before your face
And you walk
and you serve other gods
and prostrate yourselves to them
And I will cause to cut off Israel
from over the face of the ground which I gave to them
and the house which I caused to be holy to My name
And I will drive them out from before My face
And Israel will become a parable and a taunt among all the peoples.
And this house will be upper
All passing by it will be desolated and will whistle
And they will say
?On account of what did Yahweh thus to this land and to this house??E
And they will say,
?On account of which they forsook Yahweh their God
Who caused their fathers to come out from the land of Mizraim
And they seized on other gods
And they prostrated themselves to them
And they served them.
Therefore Yahweh cause to come on them
All this evil.

And it was from the end of twenty years
Which build Shlomoh the two houses
The house of Yahweh
And the house of the king.

Chiram king of Tzor carried Shlomoh
in trees of cedar
and in trees of cypress
And in gold
For all his desire.
Then gave the king Shlomoh to Chiram twenty cities in the land of Galiyl.
And came out Chiram from Tzor to see the cities which Shlomoh gave to him.
And they were not upright in his eyes.
And he said,
?What (are) these cities
Which you gave to me my brother??E
And he called to them, ?Land of Cavul?Euntil this day.
And sent Chiram to the king 120 disks (talents) of gold.

Now this the word of the corvee which the King Shlomoh caused to rise up
To built the house of Yahweh
And his house
And the filling (Millo)
And the wall of Jerusalem
And Chatzor
And Megiddo
And Gezer.
Pharaoh king of Mizraim went up
And caught Gezer
And he burned her with fire
And the Canaanites who sat in the city he killed
And he gave her a dismissal-gift to his daughter, wife of Shlomoh.
And Shlomoh built Gezer.
And the house of Choron the lower.

In the land.
And all the cities of storage which were to Shlomoh
And the cities of war-chariotry
And the cities of the horses
And the desire of Shlomoh which he desired to build in Jerusalem
And in Lebanon
And in all the land of his dominion.

All the people, the ones who remained, from
the Emori
the Chitti
the Perizzi
the Chiwwi
and the Yebusi
which they (were) not from the sons of Israel
their sons which remained after them in the land
which the sons of ISrrael were not able to bring them under the ban
And Shlomoh raised them up for a corvee of servants
Until this day.
But from the sons of Israel Shlomoh did not give servants
For they (were) men of war
And his servant
And his chiefs
And his third-men
And chiefs of his chariotry
And his horsemen.
These the chiefs of the standing-ones which over the work of Shlomoh
Fifty and five hundred
Who ruled on the people who were working in the work.

Indeed the daughter of Pharaoh went up from the city of David
To her house which he built for her
Then he build the filling (Millo).

And Shlomoh caused to go up three times in a year
Ascensions and peace offerings
On the slaughter-site which he built for Yahweh
And he caused it to turn to smoke
which before the face of Yahweh.
And he finished (pacified) the house.

Now a fleet built the king Shlomoh
In Etzyon-Gever
Which Eloth on the lip of the Sea of Reeds
In the land of Edom.
And send Chiram in the fleet his servants
Men of the fleet knowing the sea
With the servants of Shlomoh.
And they went to Ophiyr
And they took from there gold
Four hundred and twenty disks
And they caused it to come to the king Shlomoh.
