Sweet Tweets for 1/17/14: Bringing about Peace January 17, 2014

This week as I’ve spent time running around the city of Boston, it’s very fun and interesting to see the world from the perspective of the East coast. From being on Eastern time zone and dealing with the cold to hearing the Eucharistic prayers at Mass prayed with a Boston accent, it’s like I’m “home” but also not. I’ve prayed about this in relation to Pope Francis’ tweet yesterday (“Let us pray for peace, and let us bring it about, starting in our own homes!”) — how being in a new “home” helps me have a better perspective on the folks who live here, so far away from the place I typically call home. Perhaps this is one of the reasons that as I age, my travel “bug” grows ever stronger within me. It’s this desire to know, to understand, to experiment in new places that warms my heart when I visit someplace new. I’m also grateful to John for this concise listing of the big news I’ve missed this week!

Thank you to John Clem for making this weekly feature possible!
