Don’t Ignore the Stakes in the 2024 Election

Don’t Ignore the Stakes in the 2024 Election October 16, 2024

There’s a lot of chatter right now about Donald Trump’s character. You’ve likely heard the critiques—he’s abrasive, arrogant, and, even, a “threat to democracy.” But let’s not get it twisted. You aren’t choosing a pastor or a spiritual mentor. You’re choosing a president whose policies will have massive ramifications for this country. The stakes couldn’t be higher. As Christians, we need to weigh the policies on both sides of the ballot and choose a candidate on the basis of policy. The Republican platform is not perfect by any stretch, but the Democrats are supporting policies that actively undermine Christian values.

The Radical Push for Abortion

Christians are called to defend the sanctity of life. Psalm 139:13-16 tells us that God knits each person together in the womb, and life begins at conception. Yet the Democratic Party supports unrestricted abortion, even up to the moment of birth. This isn’t just about “choice”; it’s a culture of death. Kamala Harris and the Democratic Party’s obsession with abortion is more than disturbing—it’s a direct affront to God’s command to protect the innocent.

Trump, despite his flaws, was the most pro-life president we’ve seen in decades. He supported the appointment of conservative judges that helped overturn Roe v. Wade, a monumental victory for the pro-life movement. So, what’s it going to be? Are you willing to vote for a candidate who might offend with their words or for a party that actively promotes the murder of the unborn? This choice is about life or death.

The Gender Ideology Crisis

The Bible is clear: God created us male and female. Genesis 1:27 couldn’t be more explicit. Yet the Democratic Party is at the forefront of pushing radical gender ideology, even on children. Under Harris and Biden, “gender-affirming care” (which includes puberty blockers and irreversible surgeries) is not just promoted but is being legislated into law. This is child abuse masquerading as compassion, plain and simple.

Trump stood against these destructive policies. His administration sought to protect children from these irreversible and harmful practices. Christians who believe in God’s design for gender cannot in good conscience vote for a party that’s determined to mutilate children in the name of ideology.

The Weaponizing of Government

Democrats love to claim that Trump is a “threat to democracy,” but let’s look at the facts. Under Biden and Harris, we’ve seen a shocking weaponization of government agencies. Whether it’s the IRS targeting conservative and faith-based organizations, or the FBI investigating parents who stand up for their children in schools, the current administration has shown an alarming willingness to use federal power to silence dissent.

This is the real threat to democracy. Trump worked to dismantle the deep state, pushing back against unelected bureaucrats who act as if they’re above the law. Yet Democrats have turned these agencies into weapons of political warfare, often against Christians. The question is, would you rather deal with a brash personality or an administration actively working to suppress your religious freedom?

The Racist Agenda

The Democratic Party continues to push Critical Race Theory (CRT), a divisive and fundamentally racist ideology. CRT teaches that people should be judged not by their actions or character, but by their skin color. This ideology flies in the face of Galatians 3:28, which tells us that in Christ, there is no Jew or Greek, slave or free. CRT promotes resentment, blame, and division—values that are completely opposed to the message of reconciliation in Christ.

Republicans, including Trump, stand against this divisive agenda. They support a vision of America that judges individuals by the content of their character, not the color of their skin, echoing the values that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. fought for. Would you rather put up with some sharp rhetoric or support a party that fosters division and teaches our children to view others through the lens of race rather than humanity?

The Rush to Globalism

The Democratic platform is staunchly globalist, pushing policies that erode national sovereignty. This directly contradicts God’s order. Acts 17:26 says God determined the boundaries of nations. But Harris, Biden, and the Democrats want to dissolve borders and surrender America’s sovereignty to global entities like the UN. This is a dangerous path that plays right into the rise of the one-world government, as predicted in Revelation 13.

In contrast, Trump fought to secure our borders and protect America’s sovereignty. Christians must ask themselves: do we want a leader who prioritizes national strength or one who paves the way for the very globalism that Scripture warns us about?

The Democrats love to point fingers at Trump’s personality, but when you look at the actual policies, it’s clear that Trump stands closer to biblical values than Kamala Harris ever could. The Bible is about principles and truth, not feel-good narratives. Would you rather endure mean tweets, or suffer through skyrocketing crime, rampant immorality, and the erosion of Christian freedoms?

As Christians, we cannot afford to be swayed by character critiques while ignoring the policies at play. The stakes are simply too high. You’re not voting for a pastor—you’re voting for a leader who will shape the future of this country. Make your vote count for biblical values, not for a feel-good narrative that leads America further away from God.
