Jon Stewart has made millions in America but isn’t sure it’s a great country 2016-05-12T07:26:05-06:00

Jon Stewart has delighted liberal audiences for quite some time and what he said recently will no doubt thrill them once more.

Since abandoning his post at The Daily Show on Comedy Central, Stewart has been a bit reclusive and hasn’t said much about the 2016 presidential election. But he has emerged with a doozie.

Obama pal David Axelrod invited Stewart to be on his podcast (he has a podcast?) “The Axe Files with David Axelrod,” (Of course it’s called that.) The subject of Donald Trump came up pretty quickly and Stewart immediately whined about his campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again:”

“When was America great? What is this time that he speaks of? ‘81 to ‘82? Like, what are we talking about? And who took your country away from you? Who’s country… Who’s country is it? Take up the argument with the Founders. Take it up with the Age of Reason. That’s — All men are created equal. That’s f***ed the whole thing up.”

Thus sayeth the millionaire who was secured the freedom to make his fortune thanks to those Founding Fathers.

Stewart then turned his ire towards conservatives whom he believes aren’t much for equality:

“As far as I can tell, the conservative side, or the right side, they feel an ownership over America. They are the stewards of America. They are its forbears… Republicans, conservatives love America. They just hate, like, 50 percent of the people living in it.”

He also thinks conservatives are hypocritical when it comes to political correctness:

“The idea being, Muslims, ‘Hey, man. All he’s saying is they’re evil and shouldn’t be allowed in this country. He’s just telling it like it is.’ But God forbid you say happy holidays in December, it’s f***ing war. So, who is it, exactly, who’s sensitive here?”

I’m trying to think back to when America was great and all I can think is before Jon Stewart was a household name and young liberal America wasn’t turning to his COMEDY show to get their “news.” Those viewers are why social justice lunacy reigns on American college campuses today.

Thanks for grooming them, Jon.
