George Washington University Dean: President Trump is “Nazi-in-Chief” August 24, 2017

Yesterday, I posted a blog about a Clemson professor who described all Republicans as “racist scum.”  Now, it seems that even the leadership of institutions of higher learning have gone insane.

Apparently, Trump is now an actual Nazi… at least that’s what a George Washington University Dean of the Elliott School of International Affairs has written. According to Red Alert Politics, Reuben Brigety — who is a former U.S. ambassador and State Department official — wrote the following words:

“The unprecedented situation that we currently face, however, is that the elected government of the day is now led by a Nazi- and white-nationalist sympathizer. Unlike the unfortunate former White House spokesman, Sean Spicer, there is no way for senior Trump political appointees to evade this grim reality by hiding in the bushes to escape the moral weight of the choice that confronts them,” Brigety penned.

“How, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, can you convince the world that American values are a force for good in the world, and convince your own workforce who hail from every corner of our country to confidently project America’s image in the world, if you fail to publicly challenge a president who embraces the latter-day Nazi spawn of the greatest evil the world has ever seen?”

The school even had the gall to post it to Twitter from their official account.

In the tweet, which linked to Facebook, they quoted the dean:

“As a former U.S. ambassador and senior State Department official, I know that there is a particular obligation by political appointees not only to represent the interests of the American people but also to ensure that the policies and perspectives of the elected government of the day are implemented. In this sense, the role of such officials is qualitatively different from the dedicated career civilian officials across the government and from the uniformed personnel in our Armed Forces, who are expected to be studiously apolitical in the execution of their duties.”
-Dean Brigety II for Foreign Policy, Aug. 17, 2017.

Remember when schools at least pretended to be open minded?  Well, that sort of free spirite is no longer welcome at GWU.  The dean, by accusing Donald Trump of being a Nazi- and white-nationalist sympathizer, has no real understanding of the Holocaust or even common sense.

Parents, before you spend big money sending your kid to GWU, you might want to think of other, more reasonable, options.
