Blessed Peace

Readers who have been commenting on the thread immediately below will notice that all the comments but mine are now gone. That’s because there were some evildoers among the commenters, using the rest of the commenters as human shields so they could lob lies and various vicious insults at people. Some people I have banned. All I have deleted except for my own comments. That’s because you can all trust that my account of things is accurate and no independent verification of that is needed or allowed. True, there were a number of so-called “innocent” commenters who were (at least on the surface) saying and doing nothing wrong. But Combox War is hell and I can hardly be blamed for just going ahead and blowing them all away in order to deal with the bad guys. In fact, I’m sure everybody will cheer for what I did and support the total news blackout in that combox, since everybody knows that I am, most definitely, the beleagured underdog here (after all, there’s only one of me and hundreds of you) and all complaints about my so-called “injustice” to the so-called “innocent” posters is really due to their placing themselves in harm’s way when I, with limited resources of time and energy, can’t take the time to carefully read each and every post and figure out exactly who said what and why.

One final note: please do no send me a bunch of sob stories about how your post was deleted. If it’s critical of what I did in any way, I will know by that very fact that you are on the side of those vicious commenters who were using others as human shields. Remember the basic rule of thumb: Nothing I ever do is wrong and doubting that for a moment is evil. Thank you all for your enthusiastic and utterly uncritical support.
