He’s perfectly right, of course. We’ve fought the “war on terror” about as stupidly as we possibly could. And when the next big strike hits, I suspect we will lurch off to do something else stupid.

Speaking of which, here are John C. Wright’s predictions for the next 50 years. Bear in mind, as he does, that predictions, especially long-term once, are worthless–except for biblical prophecy. That’s because a) we don’t know very much and b) God knows the end from the beginning. My own take on the art of prophecy is pretty much summed up here.
