I owe Jack Cashill an apology

He made what I consider to be a foolish and dangerous tu quoque argument in which he called the shooting of George Tiller “crude frontier justice” and then went on try to blame it on pro-aborts. When I initially posted my response, I called Cashill an “idiot”, but then thought “I suspect he’s trying to be clever, rather than clearly thinking about the implications of what he’s saying.” So I changed the headline of the entry to reflect this and to focus on the folly of his argument rather than direct my ire at his person. So: mea culpa for calling Cashill an idiot. I should have kept my focus on the quality of his argument. It was out of line to attack him personally, not least because I don’t know the guy from Adam.
