Catholic and Enjoying It!
Not a good week for Scientology.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out. With real, you know, religions you have things like revelation and traditions and what not, such that you can’t change the tenets of the religion just to suit whatever is trendy at the moment. But Scientology is such an obvious fake, cobbled together from scraps of bad science fiction and so suffused with a marketing-as-evangelization ethos that I wonder if the mucky mucks really feel the game’s worth the candle with the whole gay marriage thing. Since they are all about capturing big bucks and big name trophies, my money is on some upcoming “evolution” in which gay marriage suddenly becomes just fine. Not gonna keep all the MindHead types in Hollywood on the Scientology reservation if you don’t cave on this.
