This is Danby, frequent commenter on your site. My wife Susan is going
in for a lumpectomy on Thursday. Please ask your readers for their
prayers for a safe and non-cancerous result.Feel free to put my name out there.
Also, John Mallon, a brother Catholic who has suffered many trials writes:
It¹s been a while since you¹ve heard from me but I found an old article of mine I¹d like to share with you. I have done some writing recently, but have been mainly focusing of a way to make a living so I won¹t have to continue begging. The Catholic Church has a noble tradition of begging to help one do God¹s work, as seen in the mendicant orders like the Franciscans and Dominicans. As a layman it is with some trepidation that I beg, but most of you have seen my article on lay mendicants but I hope to stop soon. And make my own way. I have paid a heavy price in my health for my defense of orthodoxy the past 25 years, I don¹t mind saying. It has made me persona non grata for most Church jobs where I can use my degree. I won¹t bore you with this.
I ask your prayers for a job interview I have today as a drug and alcohol counselor serving some Oklahoman Tribal peoples. I am enrolled in classes at OU to be eligible for a license in alcohol and drug counseling, and should be eligible for a license at the end of January. Please pray for me.
Meanwhile I need $51 before tomorrow to pay my electric bill or my payment agreement will be broken and they will do something… I also have other bills.
Things are tough all over, I¹m sure just as much for you. I fear the warnings and diagnoses of the illnesses of our culture have gone unheeded, so I am trying to help God¹s people one at a time via this counseling. (I¹m just one little guy with a computer!)
So if you can see fit to make a donation of any size to help me I would very much appreciate it, and you will be in my prayers, of course.
You can donate via my PayPal button located on my website:

Here is the article I found. I will be posting it soon on my website along with the ³Writer¹s Cut,² (that is before editing).
Father, hear the prayers of your children through Jesus Christ. Mother Mary, pray for them that they obtain what they need through Jesus Christ!
