Prayer Request

A reader writes:

I would ask that you ask your readers to pray for a special intention. This week my college-aged sister confided in me that she was raped at age 13 while coming home from school. Her attacker was a stranger. She never told anyone this before and only told me now because she is afraid about having contracted an STD from the experience (she has never had any other sexual experience). I am glad that she had the courage to tell me and she is now seeking counseling and health advice from her university’s women’s center. However, I am still incredibly concerned for her spiritual health and healing. Please pray for her during this horrible time. Thanks you so much.

Father, hear our prayer for healing in this young woman’s life through your Son Jesus Christ. Grant especially that she be freed to forgive the grave sin done to her, so that she can live her life in the liberty and love of the Holy Spirit. And grant as well that she have a clean bill of health. Mother Mary, pray for her! Amen!
