A reader writes:
My father is having open-heart surgery today, and he’s 87 years old. If you could remember him in your prayers, I’d be obliged.
Father, hear our pray for his complete healing through Jesus Christ your Son. Mother Mary and St. Luke, pray for him, his caregivers, and all who love him.
Another reader writes:
If you could, please say a prayer for my grandparents. Grandma has Alzheimer’s disease and does not recognize many of her own children anymore, so they were forced to move to a care facility. They were informed a few days ago that the care facility wanted them separated, because Grandpa does not have the ability to care for Grandma alone. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary yesterday (they got married after both lost their spouse to help one another), with demands piling up that they be forced into separate housing, permanently. Our family is assisting them with a move to a new facility, but they could use additional prayers of support, and we could all use prayers for trust in the Lord through this difficult situation.
Thank you, and may the peace of Christ be with you always.
Father, please help you children in this difficult situation and grant them trust that you are with them and will see them through to a happy end. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen. Mother Mary, pray for all involved in this painful trial.
