A reader writes:

Oh, and I sat down and read through the first volume of the Marian trilogy [NB: Mary, Mother of the Son, which you really do need, gentle reader] last night. Good work. I really enjoyed it and found myself laughing out loud often and I kept my wife from reading her Anne Tyler novel so that I could read aloud to her. I am not sure she got it, but I thought it was pretty funny. It is a good mixture of both “content” and “humor”, which will appeal to a wider audience (that is, than myself). I must say that the bibliography is lacking some mariological GREATS: Scheeben, Juniper Carol (both have multi-volume treatments), William Most, Hugo Rahner, etc. etc. etc. 😉

Alas, I decided to confine the bibliography to the works I had consulted, if only to keep the trilogy from ballooning into some sort of von Balthasarian monstrosity (only a German-speaking theologian can write 15 volumes and call it a “trilogy”).

Anyway, thanks! I’m glad you liked it!
