A reader writes:

Could you please post a prayer request on your blog? Please pray for Jeffrey, a four year old, diagnosed with cancer today. Please pray in particular that the type of cancer is correctly diagnosed so that this sweet little boy may receive the best treatment. And for his parents, that their strong Catholic faith may sustain them through this.

Father, hear our prayer for healing for this child, skill for his caregivers and grace, strength and consolation for those who love him. Mother Mary, St. Peregrine and St. Luke, pray for them. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Another reader writes:

I’m writing to solicit prayers for my wife. We’re trying to find our way into the Catholic Church. She’s willing to do it (and with fundamental integrity) for my sake, but she is not eager. Further, she feels spiritually dead, superficial, and selfish, and wonders if deep down she really believes at all, or simply goes to church out of a sense of duty instilled in her in childhood. So I’d request three things: (1) Supernatural patience and wisdom for me as we work through these things; (2) that she’d have a renewal of heartfelt, deep faith; and (3) that she’d be convicted and eager about our journey into the Church.

Father, hear our prayer for this man and his family through your Son Jesus. Mother Mary, pray for them!
