CNN appears to Understand Christianity better than Beliefnet

Beliefnet headline: Franklin Graham: Obama ‘ born a Muslim’

CNN: Graham: Obama born a Muslim, now a Christian‎

The first headline give the impression “Once a Muslim, always a Muslim” (as though Christians are somehow bound to ascribe to the Muslim insistence that no Muslim can ever leave Islam for Christ). The second headline actually reflect Graham’s opinion (and obvious reality: namely, that Obama is a standard issue liberal Protestant).

People would be less confused about these things if our media had the slightest clue on how to report religion. But, like the man said, the MSM doesn’t get religion.
