Fellow Catholic Professionals,

Please join us for the Catholic Professionals Breakfast this Friday, March 4 at the UW Newman Center, 4502 20th Avenue NE, Seattle, WA 98105.

Check-in for our monthly meetings begins at 6:45 a.m. with registration and confessions, followed by Mass celebrated by our chaplain, Fr. Raymond Cleaveland, at 7:15 a.m. Breakfast and socializing begins at 7:45 a.m., and our featured guest begins their presentation at 8:30 a.m. The event closes at 9:15 a.m.

This month’s topic is Catholics and the Media and will be presented by Dr. Pia de Solenni Conway. She is an expert in issues relating to women’s health, life issues, the new feminism, Catholicism, and culture. Her work has appeared in various publications including The Wall Street Journal Europe, The Washington Post, National Catholic Reporter, Our Sunday Visitor, and National Review Online. Dr. de Solenni has appeared on MSNBC, “Hardball with Chris Matthews”, “The O’Reilly Factor”, CNN, ABC News, among others.

Dr. de Solenni received her doctorate in sacred theology summa cum laude from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, Rome. In addition to the doctorate, Dr. de Solenni holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts-Great Books from Thomas Aquinas College, California; a Sacred Theology Baccalaureate from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum), Rome; and a Sacred Theology Licentiate from Holy Cross, Rome.
