Prayer Request

A reader writes:

Our Life Ministry co-ordinator just sent us this:

I received a call from __________ about a young woman (19) who is scheduled for an abortion tomorrow.

Her father (single dad) only became aware this morning that she was pregnant and scheduled to abort. Her father is travelling now to meet with his daughter and God willing she will agree to come and see us and we will have the love and wisdom that will change her heart and bring her unborn child to birth.

The other grandparents and father of the unborn child are coercing this young mom big time to abort. Prayer is what we offer them.

The young woman’s father is the only one that can now be directly involved in saving/advocating and praying for his daughter and grandchild’s life.

Father, we ask that you would move this young woman to give her fears to you and choose life for her child. Surround her with a loving and supportive community and family to help her and welcome this baby into the world to thrive and grow. We ask this through Christ our Lord and by the intercession of Mother Mary. Amen.

Update: My reader writes:

Thank you very much for posting my prayer request for the young pregnant woman yesterday. However, it seems that the mother has resolved to go ahead with the abortion. I received this update from our Life Ministry Co-ordinator a few minutes ago:

It would seem that the mother simply resigned herself and consented to the abortion which is scheduled for today. Mother would not meet with anyone that boyfriend did not approve of. We are not on that list.

Lord Jesus have mercy.
