My son’s fiancee is heading into another CAT scan. She is not recovering as well or as quickly as they had hoped (she was in the er for six hours b/f they got her into surgery. The damn thing burst while she was waiting) If you could keep Kitty in your prayers? Thanks.
Father, hear our prayers for Kitty’s complete healing, for compassion and skill from her caregivers, and for grace, peace, consolation and strength for all who love her. Mother Mary, pray for all concerned. We ask this through Christ our Lord, amen!

Gerrad, 36, is my son. He has been diagnosed with a heart, and a thyroid problem. He is on heart medication and he has a thyroid scan last week. Being young, he is anxious and concerned. Please pray for him.
Father, we ask that you would grant peace to Gerrad and all who love him and that you would grant him complete healing through Christ our Lord. Mother Mary, pray for him, his caregivers and all who love him through the same Christ our Lord, that he would experience physical healing and the complete mercy of God and forgiveness of sin through Christ Jesus. Amen.
Reader Ed the Roman writes:
While I was slack in mentioning her illness, I feel that I ought to advise of the passing of Mrs. Ed the Roman this afternoon. She had gone into cardiac arrest at the nursing home where she was rehabilitating from a below-knee amputation, and while we got a stable rhythm back, we couldn’t keep it.
She had been very ill all year, and fought like a berserker to the end. But 47 years of Type I diabetes usually wins.
Oh, Ed. I’m *so* sorry to hear of it. May God our Father grant her everlasting peace and light through Christ our Lord, and may he pour out his consolation and peace on you in this sad time through the same Christ our Lord. May you be surrounded with his love and hope in and through his Christ by his holy people. Mother Mary, our Lady of Sorrows, pray for Ed and his wife and all who love them, through Jesus Christ, crucified and risen!

I got a call today from my sister asking for prayers for her 18-year-old granddaughter, who is pregnant and has an appointment scheduled for an abortion on Friday. My sister’s daughter (who was adopted, by the way, and had her first child when she was only 16) is willing to help herand her boyfriend in any way if they choose life for this child. Please pray that she and her boyfriend may be swayed to accept the help and support offered to them so that this life may be spared. They live outside of Richmond, VA so I’m encouraged knowing there is a 40 Days for Life campaign going on there, too. I also ask that you lift up those prayer warriors, that their prayers and sacrifices may have a positive impact on their decision, as I know they certainly can.
Thank you for all of your efforts and sacrifices in our own community, and for your willingness to include my extended family in your prayers.
Father, hear our prayer for this girl that she will choose life for this child and find your provision and love in her community and family so that she can raise this child to be one of your saints. Help her boyfriend do the right thing and help to raise this child in a loving family. Mother Mary and St. Joseph, pray for father, mother and child and for all who are attempting to save the child’s life! We ask all this through Christ our Lord.! Amen!
