You have my prayers and I beg yours as we continue with our attempt at adopting a boy from Haiti.
Father, hear our prayer that this family would succeed in their adoption plans and give a loving home to a child that needs it. Mother Mary and St. Joseph, pray for them and for that child. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Just wanted to update that it looks like none of the three opportunities I mentioned are going to work out. I know it has to be a matter of time before something finally works out and that God must have a plan. I’d like to ask for prayers for strength to persevere, for creativity in where to look for opportunities, and for me to find solid work before student loans come due and my already-extended health insurance expires.
Also, I recently learned that my uncle has prostate cancer and is going in for surgery this coming Thursday. I ask for prayers that the surgery be a complete success and that the cancer has not metastasized, and that he and his family be given strength throughout the fight ahead and through the recovery and healing process.
Father, hear our prayers for your servant and his uncle, that their needs would be met for a good job, for perseverance, creativity, and for complete healing. Mother Mary, St. Joseph, St. Luke and St. Peregrine, pray for them. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

I have a prayer request that I would like you to please pray about & to put on your church prayer chains. Sarah has a good friend whose 3 year old daughter has just been diagnosed with cancer. She has a tumor on her kidneys that is the size of a grapefruit & they found it in her lymph nodes & are now checking her bones. They can not operate because the tumor is too big so they have started chemo to shrink it. She will have to be in the hospital 6 weeks & then probably chemo for a year. She can not be around any other children or anyone who is even slightly sick during this time. Her name is Olivia Carroll & her parent’s names are Kim & Jim. Please pray for healing & doctor’s wisdom. Also for Kim & Jim & their other daughter Ella to stay healthy & that they feel God’s presences. They are of course devastated. As far as I know they have no church background. Please send this off to anyone else you can think of.
Father, hear our prayer for complete healing for Sarah, for skill, wisdom and compassion from her caregivers, and for grace, peace, strength and consolation for her family. Mother Mary, St. Luke, and St. Peregrine, pray for her and all who love her. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Could you and your family keep my brother in prayer? He’s making some erratic and imprudent decisions that we’re all afraid will lead to, well, I think the technical term is Bad Stuff.
Father, hear our prayer that this man could find the grace and the resources to return to the virtues, to overcome the evil he is choosing, and to find peace and happiness in Christ. Hear our prayers as well for all who love him that they would find grace, wisdom, love, strength and peace to help him. Mother Mary and St. Joseph, pray for him and all who love him. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

I wrote last week about my young grandson who was scheduled to have his fourth surgery before he’s reached his third birthday. The operation went very well, and he is recovering beautifully. We thank everyone for prayers offered in his behalf.
Thanks be to God our Father through Jesus Christ our Lord! Amen!
