I have this recurring picture in my mind of the demons who were in charge of 20th Century mass murder sitting around some bar in hell grousing about the crappy job the new young wave of hipster tempters are doing. Time was when the demons in charge of leading Deutschland into the inferno of evil knew what they were doing. There was some real crackling toothy evil there you could bite down on, full of squirting juices of pride, rage, malice, lies and hearty finger-lickin’ sin.

These days, what does Germany produce? Petty people who want to sue the Pope for not wearing a seat belt in a little putt putt car that goes 5 miles an hour down a parade route.
