I write hoping to make the blog prayer requests. A friend of mine just received a diagnosis for her unborn child. Trisomy 18: Incompatible with Life. It seems hopeless, so all I can think of doing to trying to bomb heaven with prayers for a miracle–even if it is only for the healing of her family in their time of grief, especially the big brother and sister who were so looking forward to having a baby sibling. The baby isn’t due until April, so she’ll have a while of carrying her living child only to expect to deliver him or her to have a funeral.

Father, grant your grace, strength and healing to this family in this difficult time and grant eternal life to this child through Christ our Lord. Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for this family.

I would love prayers for my husband (and father of our 8 kids), who’s been diagnosed with an immune-system disorder which causes blood vessels to swell and cut off blood flow to the organs. It’s not curable but can go into remission with the right drugs, which they haven’t hit on yet, and he’s having a lousy time with side effects from the drugs they’ve tried so far.

Father, hear our prayer for this man’s healing and for grace, strength and peace for him and all who love him through Christ our Lord. Mother Mary and St. Luke, pray for wisdom, skill and compassionate hearts for his caregivers.

Please pray for a friend of mine on FB who is considering becoming a Catholic from Lutheranism. The RCIA team needs to know soon. Thanks!

Father, guide this person into full communion with your Church and into the path of intentional discipleship to our Lord Jesus Christ. Mother Mary, pray for this person and all involve in this process.
