Prayer Requests

A reader writes:

I’d like to ask for prayers for a former teacher of mine, who had to bury her son yesterday after he was suddenly killed in an accident last weekend. Her faith is strong, but please pray for her strength and peace as she gets through this difficult time, and please pray for her son and her family as well.

Father, hear our prayer for the boy who was killed that he would dwell now in eternal peace and light, and for the woman and all who love him who are enduring his loss. Grant them grace, peace, strength and consolation through Jesus Christ. Mother Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for them.

Another reader writes to ask for prayer for a priest who is in a period of discernment and not serving as an associate pastor.

Father, hear our prayer that this priest discern and do your will through Christ our Lord. Mother Mary and St. Jean Vianney, pray for him.

Finally, I would like to ask prayer for a number of people struggling with anger and despair, and for a priest friend whose back is now so bad he is bedridden. Thanks, youse guys! Your prayers over the years have yielded some remarkable fruit. Keep it up. God hears! Let’s see what he does next!
